How would you describe yourself?
Positive, resilient and motivated with a desire to learn and improve. I have a passion for doing things the right way but I am always looking to enjoy my interactions at the same time – so will always try to lighten the mood and see the best in people.
What interests you about your role and Eliot Partnership?
I’m looking forward to working closely with my client network in the Life and Retirement space and to expanding this network globally. I love meeting new people and I’m a big advocate for the global collaboration that Eliot Partnership promote and enjoy working closely with colleagues and clients across different global locations.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
I wanted to be a Marine Biologist.
What is your biggest asset?
My memory. I have a fantastic talent for being able to recall the names and career histories of everyone I meet!
He has worked in the market since 2005 and before joining Eliot Partnership he spent 11 years working for a leading insurance head-hunting firm specialising in senior Actuarial and Risk appointments within the Life and Retirement markets.
He has excellent relationships with Life companies, Re-insurers and Consultancies and a thorough understanding of the challenges these organisations face when looking to attract and retain executive talent. He as a degree in Marketing from Manchester and he also has experience working within advertising sales.
Richard enjoys travelling but is also a keen hiker and runner. He spends most of his spare time and holidays either on a beach or up an isolated tarn in the Lake District.
He has a passion for music across a wide variety of genres and will happily talk all night about this with anyone who is prepared to listen!
