Eliot Partnership (Eliot), the leading global Insurance sector executive search firm, announces the opening of its sixth office located in Sydney, Australia. The Australian business will be led by Graeme Young who has relocated from Eliot’s New York office and will operate alongside the firms’ existing Asia operation based in Singapore, which is led by Ricarda Simon, Senior Partner.
Graeme Young joined Eliot’s New York team in 2019 to support the business’ expansion in the North American and Bermudian markets. Commencing his career in the London market, Graeme has developed his knowledge of the Insurance sector across multiple geographies over a 30-year career. During this time, he has been involved in primary, reinsurance and Captive markets globally specifically across London, North America, Australia and Asia. For the last 12 years he has operated as an executive search and recruitment specialist where he was based in Singapore, Sydney, choosing to hone his search skills in the U.S.
In this newly-created position, Graeme will work with the firm's management team to build its Pacific presence enhancing the work already undertaken in Asia. This will bolster the business’ presence in the Asia Pacific region and contribute to Eliot’s growing global footprint whilst complementing the established offices in Bermuda, London, New York, Singapore and Zurich.
Graeme Young added:
“I am thrilled to be returning home to Australia and delighted to be part of Eliot’s expansion that will cement the business’ position in Asia Pacific further. Adding Sydney to the existing major hubs of Bermuda, London, New York, Singapore and Zurich will strengthen Eliot’s focus and the business’ efforts in meeting the increasing demand for top talent. More importantly our physical presence in Australia responds directly to the needs and desires of our clients to be on the ground locally. I very much look forward to this exciting chapter, whilst continuing to develop innovative ways to add value for our clients and positioning the business as the go-to sector specialist for the insurance market.”
Ricarda Simon added:
“We have established strategic partnerships in Australia and New Zealand over the last decade whilst operating in Asia; and it has always been our desire to have a physical presence on the ground to service clients in a much more personalised and accessible way. I am looking forward to closely working with Graeme to build a client centric business proposition in this exciting market. We believe through our global one P&L model and research driven approach, we can provide not only local, but global market insights and respond to talent needs through diverse and inclusive hiring strategies.”
Commenting on his appointment Andrew Eliot, Founder and Managing Partner of Eliot Partnership, said:
“We all wish Graeme the best of luck in Australia and in all of his efforts within Ricarda’s Asia Pacific team. We believe there is a tremendous opportunity for us to add significant value to the hiring strategies of our Australian clients through the introduction of local and global talent into the workplace. The further development of Asia Pacific is in tandem with our UK, European and North American regional strategies and is an exciting step in our continued global growth.”
