As part of the firm’s growth within the region, those two newly created positions are reflective of its commitment to expanding beyond its existing offering.
Jenni will be based in Eliot’s Sydney office. She will work with Graeme Young, who leads the ANZ region, and Ricarda Simon, Senior Partner and Head of APAC, to build the business given her wealth of client and sectoral knowledge. Jenni will contribute to spearheading Eliot’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives in the region, helping to address the imbalance of female talent in executive leadership and board positions. Jenni was with the QBE Group for 14 years as Group Executive Officer, People and Communications until 2016. Since then, she has built a successful consulting practice advising boards and CEOs on strategy, people, and culture.
Jenni commented, “I am delighted to join the Eliot team; it is an exciting opportunity to share my global experience from both a client and people perspective in a sector which is well known to me. I very much look forward to supporting Graeme and Ricarda.”
George will work closely with Ricarda Simon and the wider Eliot team to strengthen and scale the business’ digital insurance offering. He is a recognised fintech innovation leader in Asia and among the top globally. He founded Insurtech Asia Association and a recently acquired start-up venture after a successful corporate insurance career. In addition to his current role as Chief Commercial Officer at InsurTech company ZhongAn Tech, George advises several firms, including ITC Asia - a global leader in InsurTech events and Sønr – a top insurance insights platform. George was also a co-author “The InsurTECH Book,” which was published by John Wiley & Sons in 2018.
George said, "Eliot is the best at securing the right leadership talent for insurance organisations. With all things digital taking off, it has seen a tremendous increase in demand for talent capable of leading the next phase of growth for life and general insurers. I look forward to working with the team and helping them build the InsurTech offering and broader insurance innovation practice."
Commenting on both appointments, Ricarda Simon, Senior Partner and Head of APAC of Eliot Partnership said, “I could not be more excited to partner with Jenni and George and welcome them into our fast-growing team. Both will hold pivotal roles in helping our existing and new clients capture growth opportunities by being able to support the rising need for talent and diversity in this ever-evolving industry.”
Andrew Eliot, Founder and Managing Partner of Eliot Partnership said, “We are delighted to be welcoming Jenni and George into our business. Jenni’s successful advisory board and CEO practice gives her access and insight into senior leaders around the world. Meanwhile, George is a recognised global leader having worked in both the insurance and digital worlds and he is perfectly placed in our rapidly evolving world of InsurTech to help us develop our global Eliot Innovate vertical. I am confident that their in-depth industry knowledge and expertise will better position us to achieve greater heights in the world of insurance.”
