We are pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew (“Andy”) Woodward as Senior Advisor, Middle East, effective immediately.
This appointment marks an important step in our continued expansion across the Middle East, one of the world’s fastest-growing insurance and reinsurance markets. It also strengthens our platform across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa (APMEA), where we operate from Singapore, Sydney and Dubai.
Based in Dubai, Andy will advise on market development, client engagement and talent strategy across the Middle East, with a particular focus on the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Working closely with Ricarda Simon, Senior Partner and Head of APMEA, and the broader leadership team, he will help advance our mission to deliver world-class executive search and leadership solutions that enable clients to navigate evolving market dynamics and leadership challenges.
Andy brings over 40 years of international experience in the insurance industry, including more than 30 years in the Middle East. He has held senior leadership roles within both global and regional organisations, most recently serving as Regional Manager, Middle East & Turkey at Lloyd’s. His deep understanding of the market and extensive relationships across insurers, reinsurers, brokers and regulators make him a highly valuable addition to our global advisory network.
“We are delighted to welcome Andy to Eliot Partnership at a time of significant opportunity and growth in the Middle East,” said Ricarda Simon, Senior Partner and Head of APMEA. “His experience, relationships and cultural understanding will be instrumental as we continue to build our regional presence and support clients with best-in-class executive search and advisory services.”
Andrew Eliot, Founder and Managing Partner, added: “The Middle East is a strategically important and fast-developing market for the global insurance sector. Andy’s appointment strengthens our ability to serve clients across interconnected hubs such as London, Singapore, Sydney and Dubai, and reflects our long-term commitment to growth in the APMEA region.”
Commenting on his appointment, Andy Woodward said:
“I am excited to join Eliot Partnership at such a pivotal time for the insurance industry in this region. The Middle East has a unique opportunity to shape the future of insurance, and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth and success.”
With this appointment, we reinforce our international advisory capability across major insurance markets, offering clients integrated leadership and talent solutions across APMEA, the UK & Europe, and North America & Bermuda.
