What interests you about your role and Eliot Partnership?

I’m particularly excited about the opportunity to be candidate-centric in my role at Eliot Partnership. As a data-driven individual, I’m motivated by the ability to be market-facing, engaging directly with both clients and candidates to deliver insights that create measurable value on both sides of the search process.

Eliot Partnership also offers the chance to develop deep expertise within a sector, which strongly appeals to me. Immersing myself in the granular details of an industry while building relationships with its key stakeholders enables me to provide the thoughtful, informed perspective that helps clients and candidates make confident, strategic decisions.

What are your passions / hobbies?

I’m very passionate about coaching. Over the years, I’ve coached football, soccer, and basketball at levels ranging from elementary to high school. Beyond developing athletes, I find joy in providing insight about life to enable the younger generation to manifest the lives they imagine.

What would you like to explore and learn?

I’d like to travel more to better understand different cultures. I believe humans are far more alike than we are different, regardless of location or language. I’d love to test that theory with more real-world experiences. 

What is something about you that you lean on daily?

I often lean on the words of my Nanna: “If you’re going to do something, do it right.” It’s a simple phrase, but it’s shaped my approach to everything I do. It emphasizes thoroughness, integrity, and pride in my work. That mindset keeps me focused on delivering quality outcomes, whether I’m engaging with candidates, clients, or colleagues.

Jahmir began his career in banking after earning his degree in Finance. Positioned at the forefront of financial institutions’ revenue efforts, he drove profitability through core products and client solutions. In 2022, he transitioned into executive search, leveraging his strong foundations in communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving.

He often describes his career evolution as “moving from selling products to selling opportunities.” While his search career began in the banking sector, Jahmir has since executed diverse mandates across Financial Services, including Insurance, Asset & Wealth Management, and Private Equity leadership roles.

Outside of work, Jahmir enjoys game nights with family, golfing with friends, and the occasional Broadway show.
